Poyang Lake

The Poyang Lake is the biggest lake of fresh water in the country. Lushan National Park

Donglin Monastery

Gantang Lake

The Gantang Lake, also known as Lake Jingyang, located in the centre of Jiujiang, is a tourist hot spot. The mesmerising blue-green waters and structures like Sixian Bridge and Yanshui Pavilion make it a favourite place to visit around the city. The Gantang Lake occupies an area of around eighty hectares with Mount Lu at its south and the emerald coloured waters make it a picturesque view to cherish. The average depth of Gantang Lake is about 1.4 m with the deepest points being at about 2.4 m.

There are various other attractions to explore too. Right at the heart of the city, you can locate the Nengren Temple. The Shizhong Shan or the Stone Bell Hill can be found around the Yangtze. Other popular attractions of the city include a collection of historic buildings that were constructed back in 1586 called the Suojiang Tower.
