While this is a relatively new addition to this areas list of malls, it towers well above the others. You can explore the Orchard Central by taking any one of its super escalators. Here you will find the tallest indoor climbing wall in the world as well as some quirky yet exciting modern art pieces. Takashimaya or better known as Ngee Ann City is a shopping centre that is considered a landmark on Orchard Road. It has catered to well-heeled shoppers over the last century delivering restaurants, salons, bookstores and serious brand names. Highlights here include an art and creativity section as well as the Takashimaya department store that is spread over 7 levels. Established in the year 1932, Tangs is one of the older ones found here.
