Langshan

Wolf Mountain as the place is better known as is one of the most famous attractions you will find close to the town of Langshan. Amongst the 5 hills found in the area, Langshan aka Wolf Mountain is the tallest. It is within easy reach of the Nantong Central Business District, hence a breeze to access from Nantong serviced apartments. Langshan is 110 metres high; ask a local and you will get varied accounts of why it's called Wolf Mountain, despite it being a short hill. Some say wolves once lived there and the spirit of the white wolf still haunts the place while others claim the shape resembles the animal. Haohe Scenic Area

This attraction is located in the old city centre; it was once a man-made moat built to protect the city from outside invasions. This is believed to be one of China's best-preserved moats, now a scenic river which is 10kms long winding across the city. Explore the banks of the river home to many attractions such as Culture Square, the Crystal Sculpture looking a bit like the Louvre, the Nantong TV Tower and the Wencheng City Ruins. Do take the river cruise for a scenic view of the area. Heading over to the Culture Square towards the evening hours is recommended to enjoy the live entertainment.

Nantong Horticultural Expo Park

This is the most popular attraction within the People's Park also called Wenfeng Park, situated close to the Old City. The horticulture park is located on one of the 5 hills which are situated in Nantong, the tallest being Wolf Mountain, the park sits on the smallest but offers stunning views across the Yangtze River. A walk around the park will take around 2 to 3 hours, but if you have the time and stamina, do make the effort, you won't be disappointed. On display are picturesque ponds, charming lighthouses, orchards and even play areas for kids.

Nandajia and the Clock Tower Square

Nandajia is located in the city centre close to Haohe Scenic Area. The best place to get your holiday vibes on, this area is home to shops, cafes, restaurants and the popular Clock Tower Square.
