Visit Uluwatu Temple

Located on a cliff overlooking an infinite horizon where sea meets sky, the sacred Uluwatu Temple is one of the island's most famed attractions. Located about 15 miles from popular resort destination Kuta, this temple features beautiful architecture and design, not to mention the dramatic panoramas of the ocean along Bali's southern coast. The best time to visit is during sunset when the temple is framed against a magical backdrop. To add to your experience look to take in the special Kecak fire dance held here; this traditional dance performed during sunset is truly mesmerising.

Sunrise Hike up Mount Agung

If you love adventure and hiking, you will be hard pressed to find a better excursion than making your way up a dormant volcano! Mount Agung offers just such an experience and its summit is the highest point in the island. Your journey begins in the wee hours of the morning and it is advisable to have a guide who will be with you on the ascent. As part of the expedition, you will also come across the sacred Pura Pasar Agung temple. Of course, the best thing about the hike is to witness the breathtaking beauty of the sun making its way above the horizon amidst inspiring views of the valley below.

Explore Seminyak Beach

No trip to Bali is complete without enjoying some of the heavenly beaches of this island, including the shores bordering Seminyak. The long coastline attracts both locals and foreigners alike and is easy to access from hotels and resorts in the area the likes of Montigo Resorts Seminyak. The beach is perfect for working on your tan, enjoying cool cocktails and witnessing gorgeous sunsets, while there are some excellent waves for surfers to enjoy too. Photograph the Tegalalang Rice Terrace

North of Ubud you will find a traditional irrigation system which features terraced paddy fields that are simply stunning. Known as the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, this spectacle offers a remarkable sight with slopes covered in emerald coloured paddy forming a unique backdrop. Hiking to the best vantage point is totally worth it, though ideally look to get there a bit early in order to avoid a greater amount of visitors.

Enjoy the thrills of Waterbom Bali

If you are looking to beat the heat and enjoy some adrenaline-fuelled fun as well, then make your way to Waterbom Bali in Kuta. This popular water park is a huge hit with families and for good reason; it is home to all manner of exciting water-based rides and games catering to visitors of all ages. While rides such as Smashdown 2.0, Green Vipers and Boomerang are for those after some extreme thrills, you do get more laid-back attractions too like the Funtastic pool area for younger kids and the Lazy River.
