The Memorial Park is loved by all kids as they can enjoy splashing in the water as well as playing in the 2 playgrounds of the park. To boot, during holidays and the weekends, the Memorial park transforms into an exciting place offering jumping castles, thrilling rides, a train tour and other entertainment, all for free. For a quick bite and good coffee, head to the Burrow or the Entrance Lake House. In Central Coast, resorts in the likes of the Oaks Waterfront Resort, are a popular choice of accommodation offering good times.
Fancy seeing some pelicans on your trip here? One of the popular attractions offered at the Entrance is none other than the Pelican Feeding which typically starts at around 3:30 p.m everyday. The birds arrive at the spot, one after the other and group together for the feeding. And what's amusing about the pelicans is that they know the exact time they are about to be fed and congregate right on time. A truly incredible feat. The proceedings commenced when a young local boy, one day, decided to feed the pelicans some scraps. This became a ritual and started about the same time every day, as the boy worked in a shop nearby. Since then, the pelicans come demand food from the locals about this time every day.
Another popular activity at the Entrance is its bath which happens in an Olympic pool of around 50 meters. You can enjoy the pool whilst the waves from the coast crash close by. The wave sounds have a calming effect on the body, and you can enjoy your pool time also. These heritage baths were first built in the year 1938. Smaller pools for kids are also provided. Besides, other amenities are also available that make your time here more comfortable. Toilets, showers and changing rooms are all there for your perusal.
This cycleway is another popular spot at the Entrance that brings in a lot of visitors. The cycleway is located at the perfect location where you can enjoy some quiet time cycling right alongside the Tuggerah Lake. Stunning lake views can be experienced that makes you calm and at peace. Nature has that effect, doesn't it?
The Entrance Boardwalk needs to be visited, needless to say. You can start your stroll from the Memorial Park and go all the way to Surf Lifesaving Club, with the channel to accompany you every step of the way. The channel has its very own set of magnificent pelicans and other birds like anglers. You also have the Tuggerah Beach which stretches for about 6 kilometres, on the other side. With views like this, why wouldn't you want to go to the Boardwalk?
