Melbourne is a tourist hub when compared to many other cities in Australia. And one reason for this popularity among tourists is due to the many photograph worthy spots you can take epic pictures from. Here are some of the places to check out when in Melbourne.

Flinders Street Station

First things first, the most obvious place which is Instagram worthy is none other than the well known Flinders Street Station boasting of some amazing architecture. This place has been pretty much photographed from all angles, so make sure to go and put your artistic touch to the photographs you take. Pop into this station which is located in Melbourne's central business district or the CBD. Great Ocean Road

Taking photographs? Well, that's a good photo if it doesn't have a view of the ocean, right? Nothing beats the Great Ocean Road for a scenic drive alongside the coastline. And the 12 apostles is probably the most photographed place in the whole of Victoria. But it's not restricted to just that, the place offers so many breathtaking views that is all Instagram worthy. St Kilda Pier

Another place to check out in Melbourne would be the St Kilda Pier which also has a Kiosk towards the end. This pier goes all the way back to 1853 but the Kiosk, on the other hand, was built several decades later, around 1904. Walk around the pier and you'll be rewarded with some splendid views of both Melbourne and the Port Philip Bay. If you're lucky, you might see some penguins too!

Drive 35 kilometres east of Melbourne, to have an awe-inspiring view of the Dandenong Ranges. There are several spots where you can take amazing photographs from. Besides, board the Puffing Billy Steam Train along the range for some exquisite photos. Plus there are many hike trails to check out with some amazing gardens.

Royal Botanical Gardens

When in Melbourne, make sure to spend a few hours at the Royal Botanical Gardens. As the name suggests, it is quite regal; with its perfectly manicured gardens. There are so many things you can enjoy here. You can take a boat ride along the lake, visit one of the cafes or exhibits showcased here, pack a picnic and you can even go on an Aboriginal Heritage Walk! All reassuring you some quality snaps.
