Archie Karas is known as "King of the Casinos". He was working as a waiter until he learned about pool hustling. He was never afraid of loosing and it caused him to develop mentality to the point where he could bet everything in a single throw of a dice.

In December 1992, after loosing $2 millions in Los Angeles, he had only $50 left to spare. Needless to say, it was the only thing he needed. Archie's winning streak begun in Binion's Horsehoe casino, where he played high-stakes Razz. That caused him to win millions but he didn't stop there. Don Johnson - $15,000,000

Blackjack might be the game of luck from the first look, but not for Don Johnson. He had his own clear strategy: splitting favorable hand into four separate ones, double the bet whenever it's possible and pick only those dealers who stop drawing when a hand is equaled 17.

He still relied on luck as we all do. But his set of simple rules helped him to earn $15,000,000 in half a year.

He then made a second attempt of playing at Megabucks Slots and it granted him a jackpot size of $21,147,947. Elmer was dreaming to make a third win in a row, but, unfortunately, it didn't come true because on March 23rd, 2007 he passed away at the age of 93. This is just another evidence that self-confidence and believing in yourself magically increases your chances to win.

Sean Connery - £163,000

Now this is probably not one of the biggest wins of all time. But it is a win from probabilities perspective. In 1963, in Italy at the casino in the Alps, Sean joined a roulette wheel to place his money on 17 and... Missed! He then tried once again and... Missed again! On his third attempt, 17 came in.

But this is not the end. He kept betting on 17 two more times and 3 times in a row now, 17 came in. Despite the odds were 50,000:1, Sean left the casino with over ₤17 millions which equals £163,000 today.
