Rationale: This video is short enough to offer a simple introduction of Beethoven to students that will appeal to both visual and auditory learners.
Description: This blog includes text and video resources pertaining to the music of Chopin and his use of his specialized technique: Rubato.
Rationale: This blog offers a variety of resources all in one, including musical examples of Rubato in the style of Chopin directly contrasted with modern Rubato. This resource has material that would appeal to almost every student.
Description: This website features creative functions such as creating posters, flyers, and other such materials.
Rationale: This resource would be beneficial for students to demonstrate their learning through creating a poster or flyer highlighting information about a Romantic composer or contrasting Romantic composers.
Description: This podcast features information about the life and career of Felix Mendelssohn.
Rationale: This resource contains a wealth of knowledge from a reputable source (NPR) about Romantic composer, Felix Mendelssohn. Students listening to this would experience a consistent narrative about the composer that is entertaining and informative. Further, this is an excellent resource for auditory learners.

Rationale: This quizlet includes the majority of significant Romantic composers in a way that students can manipulate the material to learn. Further, this includes characteristic works of each composer that could help students learn by both reading and hearing each composer's style.

Rationale: Students will be tasked with creating a video or slideshow about a specific composer to demonstrate their knowledge, to collaborate and share with others, and to manipulate materials to increase understanding.
Description: A recording and score of Chopin's Waltz Op. 64 No. 2.
Rationale: This video would be an excellent resource for students to help identify characteristics of Chopin's musical style as they can both see and hear the music. This helps with both auditory and visual learners.
Description: This is a work of art inspired by and depicting the events of the Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg.
Rationale: To incorporate music and its effect on the other arts I included this artwork based on Grieg's work to have students see a visual representation of the music to aid in understanding. This would be viewed in conjunction with listening to Grieg's work.
Description: This is a music notation software that is free, online, and easily accessible.
Rationale: Students would use this software to help create short musical examples in the style of Romantic composers to help aid in understanding of Romantic traits and writing.
