Reasons Why Parents Prefer IB School Over Other Schools

International Baccalaureate founded in Geneva in the year 1968. The program was basically created with one aim in mind, churning out Global Citizens. The students from IB School will be able to live and work in any part of the world. In the IB curriculum the students are advised to take up six interdisciplinary courses and complete their research papers as well as community service requirements. The courage encourages young people to debate on social, moral and topical issues. Under the Primary Years Programme (PYP), children just 3 years old can be enrolled for the course. Students continue with the course until they are 12 years of age. Then they move into the Middle Years Programme until they are 16 years old.

The course offerings for those who have reached 16 years include:
• Three years duration for standard level subjects
• Three years duration for higher level subject
• Theory of Knowledge course
• Scholarly essay

The courses are also designed to invoke the creativity in the students. The course groupings include:
• Native language
• Second language (Spanish, French, German, Latin, Mandarin and Greek)
