Hua Hin is a popular tourist destination in Thailand. Here is a list of things you can do while on your vacation there.
This is a beautiful seaside palace that was constructed in the 1920s. It was built by King Rama VI. An Italian architect was hired to design the palace. There are many latticeworks, verandahs, and boardwalks in the palace. There is a beautiful passageway that leads to the sea which makes the palace the perfect summer house.
The Hua Hin railway station built by King Rama VI is not your average station. There are bright coloured pillars and the royal room in the station is very attractive. The building and its colours look Thai but there is a Victorian feel to it.
This is a market where all the artists sell their products. Cicada is an open-air market with stalls selling handicrafts made by local artisans. There is live music, an art gallery and a bear market at Cicada. The market is open from 4 pm to 11 pm from Friday to Saturday. On Sunday, the market is open till 12 am.
The Night Market is bustling with travellers from around the world at 6.30 pm every day. There are many things sold in the market including souvenirs, handicrafts and clothes. There is a superb collection of stalls selling seafood. The market is in the centre of the town which makes travelling there easier for anyone staying in a hotel or resort in Hua Hin the likes of Anantara Hua Hin Resort.
The shopping complex has traces of the 1960 Thai architecture. The building is built of wood and it has a unique look. This is an ideal place for dinner with family. The village is famous for its open-air movies and the temple fair festival. Shop till you drop with live music playing in the background.
If you're travelling with family, this is surely a place your kids will love. The water park has nine water slides. They have a kids' pool, lazy river, wave pool, beach pool and more. This is built opposite a lake, some 10km away from Hua Hin.
If you want the best vantage point to sightsee Hua Hin, Khao Takiab is where you should go to. This is a mountain with a temple on top. It is also called 'Chopstick mountain' and 'Monkey Mountain'. There is a staircase and a big bell where your hike to the top should start.
This is one of the more mysterious landmarks in Thailand. There is an ancient gold pavilion inside this cave. Only a few travellers have seen the pavilion because the cave is difficult to reach. After a 45 min drive to Southern Hua Hin, you have to rent a boat from Bang Pu (a small village) and reach the Laem Sala beach where the cave is located.
This park brings Greece to Hua Hin. The white building, colourful windows, domed towers and stone-paved roads you find in Greece is replicated in this park. There are many shops and restaurants in the park along with an amusement park.
This the latest shopping destination in Hua Hin. Just like the Santorini Park, the Venezia brings the essence of Venice to Hua Hin. The shopping complex is complete with the gondolas in the lake in front of it.
