Badian Canyoneering is truly one of a kind. You can do a lot of techniques when you are canyoning the area such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling or rappelling, and swimming. A lot of canyoners or even ordinary tourist has been doing this activity since then.
_Things to remember: _
DON’T JUMP ANYWHERE. Don’t just jump whenever you feel like jumping, always ask your guide first if it's safe to jump and also you should always pay attention to your guide at all times.
*WEAR PROPER AND COMFORTABLE FOOTWEAR. *The trail isn’t easy to walk and there’s a lot of slippery stones so you should not forget to wear shoes that will not be burden when walking down the trails.
ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR TOUR GUIDE. Your guide is familiar with the trail and the area so it’s better to follow your guide at all times. Never stray from your group.
BADIAN CANYONEERING IS A POPULAR ACTIVITY. You should better start your canyoning activity early since there will be a lot of crowd during noon and I’m sure you won’t like canyoning if the area is crowded.
*STAY HYDRATED. *Bring lots of bottled water or a huge one. There’s a stall/store but the water bottle costs a lot more than they should be so it’s much better if you bring your own.
PACK YOUR THINGS INSIDE A DRYBAG. Pack your things inside a dry bag and you can let your tour guide hold it for you, they are that hospitable and friendly.
ASK YOUR GUIDE FOR AN INSTAGRAM PHOTO. You can ask your tour guide to take photos of you and your group, don’t hesitate to ask for help.
BE A RESPONSIBLE TOURIST. Please don’t throw your trashes anywhere. Keep it inside your bag or pocket and throw it once you saw a trash bin in the area. A simple act like that is a big thing in keeping the area clean and neat.

And the most important part of visiting Cebu City is the Sinulog Festival which takes place every 3rd week of January. Doing a Cebu City Tour during this month is reeking of fun and adventure, but it also reeks a sense of paranoia since during this month a lot of establishments is crowded wherever you go.
A lot of tourists will be seen during this month since a lot of people, both local and foreign, loves to witness the grandest festival in the Philippines. Make sure to book 3 to 4 months before the Sinulog festival to be able to have a room since every hotel in Cebu, even in Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu, is getting booked so fast due to the upcoming Sinulog Festival each January.
Aside from the beautiful turquoise water on the pool of Kawasan, there’s this Canyoning activity just upstream Kawasan Falls. You get to jump to a lot of waterfall and the trail isn’t easy which makes it challenging and not suitable for everyone, only to those who are physically fit and has a very strong stamina to endure the trail and the excitement of jumping multiple falls.
Canyoneering in Kawasan Falls has been gaining a lot of attention from tourists, both local and international, and people who love extreme adventures alike. Canyoning in Kawasan is really fun, you get to jump to a lot of waterfalls and sadly enough the last falls which is the main falls is not open anymore to jump off due to some regulations that was placed in the area.
*How to get there? *
*From Cebu City: *
Take a taxi or any public vehicle to take you to the South Bus Terminal which is near Elizabeth Mall (E-Mall) and look for the bus that goes to Bato via Barili, make sure it is via Barili since the other bus (via Oslob) will not stop or pass Kawasan Falls at all and I recommend you take the yellow bus (Ceres bus).
Tell the conductor or the driver to drop you off in the Kawasan Canyoneering Headquarters, Matutinao Beach Resort, just across a roman catholic church. And when going back to Cebu City, just cross the street from Matutinao Beach Resort and ride a Ceres Bus back to the South Bus Terminal.
*Things to remember: *
PACK light things and store them on a dry bag.
TRAVEL TIP: Start early to avoid the crowd since there’s a lot of tourist lately who wants to try the canyoneering in Kawasan falls. The activity will take for 3 to 4 hours and the Kawasan falls will be closing before sundown (5pm) so if you arrive at the area around 2pm and you want to do the canyoneering, well tough luck but they won’t allow it since it will be dangerous when it gets dark so make sure to start early.
