Brisbane is home to an amazing nightlife. Sure most things close at 5 on the dot but that doesn't mean your entertainment just ends there. Let's look into some of the party spots in Brisbane you can visit after hours.

Fortitude Valley

Ask around in Brisbane, and all hands will point towards the Fortitude Valley, which is the first ever entertainment precinct in Australia. As the day ends, the entertainment just begins at this precinct. The lanes are full of life, with music from live bands that rings across the streets. Just make sure to take your ID with you, as some of the venues have ID scanners to let you in. Elixir Rooftop Bar

Rooftop Bars are a thing in Australia. With Queensland having good weather all year, rooftop bars are a must go! Especially the Elixir Rooftop Bar which is located on Ann Street. The bar is best described as the perfect place for holiday vibes as it has plenty of trees around and a water feature to add to that. You can also choose to explore the Ric's Bar, Sixes and Sevens, Pig 'n' Whistle, The Wickham, Beach Burrito for a wonderful experience when in Brisbane; all offering hardcore 'entertainment' factor.

Live music

If you're seeking venues featuring live music, then opt to go to either The Tivoli, The Triffid and The Zoo, or all three! These are medium-sized places that feature many local and international artists who are passing through Brisbane. But if you want some personal times with music to surround you, then check out the Foundry who showcase new talent a few times a week. This place can house around 300 people quite comfortably. The Crowbar, on the other hand, is for people wanting some hard-core rock or metals bands! Don't confuse the Foundry with the Crowbar, its worlds apart in what they have to offer!

Dance clubs

Nightlife mainly comprises of dance! If you're looking for such a place, then head to The Valley. Another place would be the Oh Hello, which is packed with university students. You can dance along with them whilst drinking a jam jar cocktail! But if you want something more, say thumping RnB music? Then go nowhere but at The Met. GPO is another place you can check out for RnB music and DJs playing dance music. The Press Club, on the other hand, plays some live bands after 10 pm on Fridays, that goes on till late at night. Live rock bands usually play at The Flying Cock during the weekends.

Bars

If you want to go for a drink late at night, there are plenty of places to choose from. But say you've narrowed it down, to gin, then go to Proud Henry who has a special gin drink. Savile Row is another popular place that has around nine hundred bottles of alcohol to serve from. For some casual vibes and a bite to eat, go to The Apo. Other popular places include the Courage Officer's Mess and The Bowery.
