Oregon's 2020 Class Ranked #1-10 + Honorable Mention

1. Andy Alfieri 6-3 210 LB Jesuit

OFFERS: Oregon St, Cal, Air Force

Updated Analysis: So far in 2018 Alfieri has some of the best LB film nationwide. He is a freak athlete who plays at a speed rarely seen at the HS level, especially in the NW. Offensively he can be your 30+ carry and 200 + yards per game guy every week . Expect him to be visited and/or offered from most of the top schools in the country.

Previous: Alfieri has the potential of being the top recruit in Oregon for the 2020 class IMO. Currently a 3* national recruit. .
Football family with father Phil (OSU/NY Jets), and brother Joey Alfieri (Stanford/2019 NFL Draft), Nick Alfieri (Georgetown/ Pro-Germany), Mikey Alfieri (OSU)
Earned 2nd team all Metro honors at FB and should be the primary ball carrier for the next two seasons. That said as he projects at LB

2. John Miller 6-1 215 LB Tualatin

COMMITTED: Oregon St

Updated Analysis: Miller is having an unreal season for the T Wolves. He is incredibly fluid and projects as one of the most athletic LB's in the country. When all is said and done he has the potential of being one of the top LBs ever to come out of Oregon

Previous: One of the fastest rising Sophomore recruits in the region; 3* kid. God given instincts at the position. Earned 1st team All TRL honors from his LB spot 73 total tackles, 2 INTs, 8 tfl, 2 frec. Will be a conference & state defensive POY candidate the next two seasons

3. Jalen John 5-11 205 RB Lakeridge

OFFERS: Oregon, Oregon St, Utah

Updated Analysis: John has gone for 200+ yards from scrimmage multiple times in the first month of the season. Definitely one of the best backs in the West. The question becomes can he be that dominant back that many projected him to be at the collegiate level.

Previous: Phenomenal Sophomore season racking up 1st team all league honors in the brutally tough TRL
Averaged 9.5 ypc in 5 games, carrying 72 times for 684 yards and 11 TDs.
Expect a host of the nation's top schools to be visiting Lakeridge in the coming seasons as Coach Elvis Akpla has transformed the program

4. Silas Starr 6-3 195 WR Central Catholic

OFFERS: Oregon, Stanford, Oregon St, Arizona St, Cal

Updated Analysis: Starr is crafty and runs some of the most precise and crisp routes of any wide out in the country.. He might not always be the fastest guy on the field, but from an efficiency standpoint there are few that are better.

Previous: One of the top players in the country for the 2020 class; National 4* recruit
1st team all league WR who went for double digit TD's in 17'. .
Projects as a future All American who could hold offers from most of the top schools in the nation.

5. Casey Filkins 5-11 180 ATH Lake Oswego

OFFERS: Montana St
Updated Analysis: As of right now Filkins might be the leading candidate for Offensive Player of the Year honors within Oregon. His 14 TDs and 30 yards per catch / 20 yds per rush average through 5 games speaks for itself. Anyone who is sleeping won't be for long.as Casey is the exception to the rule.

Previous: 1st team all TRL RB as a Sophomore. 4.0 student. 3* National recruit
Broke out on the camp circuit excelling at the Rivals event in New Jersey. One of the top SPARQ scores in the country (107.49)
Exception to the rule from a size standpoint as he will hold multiple Pac 12 /D1 offers before he is done
Special kid that can be your primary back, play out in the slot, or run the wildcat

6. Junior Walling 6-2 220 LB McNary

OFFERS: Oregon St

Updated Analysis: It's been a tough start to the year for McNary as a team going (0-5) and losing by an average score of 50-15. That said as Walling can't do it all himself. He is a good HS back but projects on D. He will look to mirror some of what he did the past two seasons as the defense has work to do.

Previous: 3 * National recruit; Unreal Sophomore season earning 1st team all conference LB and 2nd team RB honors. 88 total tackles (58 solo), 22 tfl, 12 sacks/ 1,260 all purpose yards, 14 TDs
21 consecutive varsity starts as a freshman/soph. Outstanding student 4.0 Weighted GPA.

7. Max Lenzy 5-9 170 CB Tigard

Updated Analysis: Overall one of the top players in the NW and the top cover corner in Oregon. The question becomes a size thing and what schools will strictly look at his football ability which isn't in doubt.

Previous: Kids a baller. One of the top CB's in the West for his class.
2nd team all conference DB in 2017. Has taken multiple balls to the house for TDs
Outstanding genes, with 4* Notre Dame commit Braden Lenzy being one of the nation's best

8. Sandrey Mitberg 6-3 235 DE/OLB Beaverton

Updated Analysis: Currently in the mix for conference and state defensive POY honors. Another kid where the film speaks for itself. Will be among the state leaders in multiple statistical categories. Has shown early in the year that he will require a consistent double team if you want to contain him.

Previous: Super athletic kid coming off the edge with an ideal frame, and the ability to add significant size. Upped his stock significantly this off season
Could very well end up like former BHS standout Evan Colorito, DE/OLB for Colorado St/New Orleans Saints

9. Thomas Dukart 6-2 175 ATH Lake Oswego

Updated Analysis: Just a true dual threat kid. Could legitimately play on either side of the ball at the D1 level. His ability to close on D is unique. That said as he has been dominant from his WR spot.

Previous: Dukart is the real deal. 2nd team all TRL Safety as a Sophomore. Equally smooth and impressive on O.
Potential of being a big time multi offer Pac 12 type target. Brother of Oregon St QB commit Jake Dukart.
6A Oregon Player of the Year candidate on D. He is that good.

10. Chase Coyle 6-2 200 QB Grants Pass

Updated Analysis: Could very well be the top QB in Oregon for the 2020 class. Has had an MVP like first half of the year. Super smooth and confident in the pocket and he can run. Through 5 games 1,544 yards 105/157 66 Com Pct% 16 TDs/ 1 INT.

Previous: One of the fastest rising QB recruits in the region. Should get an opportunity in 2018 to show what he can do. Expect him to be one of the top players in the SWC

Chance Sparks 6-3 175 WR Century

Updated Analysis: Injured the first week of the season and likely done for the year. That said as Sparks has size, speed and a host of necessary intangibles for a D1 WR. He was a state leader in multiple statistical receiving categories as a Sophomore.

Previous: One of the top WR's in the NW for the 2020 class; Went off as a Sophomore earning 1st team All Metro honors. Statistically one of the leaders state wide. 52 receptions, 1000 yards, 10 TDs, averaging 19.2 yards per catch in 17'. Projects as a D1 kid at some level

Richard Kennewell 6-3 200 WR/ OLB Clackamas

Updated Analysis: Potentially the fastest rising recruit in Oregon. Could be a top 10 guy before he is done. Can play either side of the ball at the D1 level while currently excelling on O. His stock continues to rise every week

Previous: Not a lot of people know about him yet... That said as he will be one of the top defenders in the state for the 2020 class. Made 11 tackles with 3 tackles for loss and 1 INT, while scoring 3 TDs offensively and averaging 25.3 ypc in 2017

Tiger Shanks 6-6 325 OL Lake Oswego

Updated Analysis: Tiger has all the potential in the world, but as of right now it's still a wait and see from a development standpoint. You can't teach the size and some of his intangibles but there is work to do when it comes to his feet and overall athleticism

Previous: All Conference OL as a freshman; Potential 4* kid with continued progression
Made the transfer from Lakeridge back to Lake O. Has the size and all of the tools to be one of Oregon's best lineman ever

Grant Starck 6-5 280 T/DE Thurston

Updated Analysis: Really like this kid from a projection standpoint. His overall athleticism speaks to his potential. Has been relatively dominant at the 5A level thus far. Look for a big 2nd half of the year and impressive showing on the camp circuit this off season.

Previous: Super talented overall athlete with size. Football family. Son of 6-7 head coach Justin Starck
All conference kid on both sides of the football in 17'. Has the potential of being a big time D1 prospect

Kalvin Souders 6-2 180 WR Central Catholic

Updated Analysis: Great route runner and overall athlete. Souders has played well, currently sitting on the D1 bubble with multiple schools. How he does the 2nd half of this season & in the playoffs will determine a lot on the recruiting front.

Previous: Souders projects as one of the top WR's in the west and potentially the country for his class. He is that good.
Outstanding size and length on a legit 6-2 frame. Look for him to be a double digit D1 offer kid
From a projection standpoint he should be considered right there with teammate, 4* Silas Starr

Caleb "CJ" Jordan 6-2 188 QB Clackamas

OFFERS: Louisville, Nevada, San Jose St, E.Washington, Portland St

Updated Analysis: CJ's overall athleticism is a big factor when looking at his projection. Through 5 games he has hit on 67% of his passes throwing 4 TDs /3 INTs. Both him and Austin Atkeson have split reps and done well, but with both kids being Junior's and 1.5 years to go in their career, you would expect the QB battle to play itself out at some point.

Oregon 6A Passing Leader in 2017. 30 TDs 2,242 passing yards, averaging 10 + yards per carry. 2nd team all conference QB
Made the transfer from Jefferson to 2017 state champion Clackamas. Has had an impressive off season from a recruiting standpoint adding multiple offers

Kainoa Sayre 6-0 190 RB Tualatin

Updated Analysis: Special kid who is missing this season due to an injury. Expect to hear a lot about him moving forward regardless. His Sophomore film speaks for itself.

Previous: One of the most exciting kids to watch in the NW. 1st team all TRL RB. D1 athlete at some level.
Went for 13 TD's and just under 7 yards per carry, with close to 1000 all purpose yards in 17'

Nick Haynes 6-2 180 WR/S Reynolds

Updated Analysis: Some of the best film of any athlete in Oregon. Possesses great size and speed. His versatility will be what is most appealing to school's as he can play 5+ positions on the field and typically beat you 1 on 1.

Previous: One of the most versatile kids in Oregon. 1st team all conference kick returner
Equally dangerous on both sides of the football. Excelled as part of Team Lillard

Damiko Tidmore Jr. 6-5 240 DE/TE West Linn

Updated Analysis: Tidmore Jr. is an appealing recruit. Thus far on D he has been tough to stop coming off the edge accounting for 25 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 5 hurries mid way through the year. Add to that his size and ability at TE and he is a D1 projected kid at some level.

Previous: Can play on either side of the ball. Excelled this off season on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard. Upped his stock significantly from a TE standpoint.
Will be one of the top players in the TRL the next two seasons; 15 tackles, 3 tfl, 1 sack in 2017

Elijah Elliott 5-9 170 CB ATH Central Catholic

Updated Analysis: Elijah is one of top overall players in the state and a lock down DB. That said as some schools will question his size and potentially wait from an offer standpoint.

Previous: One of the most versatile athletes anywhere. Great kid. Ivy league type student
Could be a 2000+ yard back & nationally ranked CB/ kick returner.
Very physical lock down corner

Marshall Mcguire 6-3 205 OLB Lake Oswego

Updated Analysis: Mcguire is committed to Syracuse for lacrosse. He has had one of the best seasons of any defensive player in the state thus far. His overall athleticism and size make him a viable D1 football recruit if he wanted to pursue that route.

Previous: D1 lacrosse kid. That said as he was one of 2017's breakout performers on the football field

London Smalley 6-1 175 ATH Westview

Updated Analysis: Smalley has had an impressive start to his season averaging 13.4 ypc while grabbing 4 TDs in the first four games. His ability to return kicks and overall demeanor are other assets that separate him from others.

Previous: Look for Smalley to have a monster year after transferring from Beaverton. Excelled on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard. Projects as one of Oregon's breakout performers

Bryce Boettcher 6-2 185 QB/S South Eugene

Updated Analysis: Boettcher has done well from his QB spot, helping South to one of there best starts in some time. That said as he is a very talented overall athlete who could project elsewhere position wise, potentially at Safety or Weakside LB..

Previous: One of the fastest rising athletes in Oregon. South has struggled as a team but this kid is legit
Can play on either side of the ball, earning all conference honors from his LB spot in 2017

Erik Barker 6-4 210 QB McNary

Updated Analysis: Barker looks the part and possesses all of the necessary tools. That said as it hasn't been a good year thus far for the Celtics at (0-5) with the offense struggling. It will be important to finish the year strong.

Previous: Ranked a 3* national recruit by 247. 2,376 yards passing and 20 Tds, earning honorable mention all conference honors in 17'
Big good looking athlete, coming from a talented family with 6-5 brother Kolby Barker playing OLB/DE at Air Force.

Logan Horton 6-2 220 FB/ ILB Jesuit

Updated Analysis: One of the fastest rising recruits in the region. Has been dominant from his LB spot, and even more impressive at fullback, absolutely wrecking kids as he hits the hole. Expect multiple programs who still use the FB on a consistent basis to be vying for his services.

Previous: Expect Horton to have a big Junior campaign as one of Oregon's fastest rising 2020's. He will have plenty of opportunities the next two seasons.
