Enjoy a Day at Jura Beach Tioman Island

Easy to reach from your Tioman Island resort, Jura Beach is an expansive stretch of sand located on the eastern shore of the island. The beach is lapped at by a calm sea, making the place ideal for a family day out. The unique environs of this beach add to its allure, there you are treated to white sand beaches framed by a lush forest and glistening sea. Ideal for snorkelers the calm waters are home to many forms of marine life. While the relaxed and soothing ambience of the place makes it ideal for a day of total rest and relaxation.

Explore Tekek Tioman, The Capital Village

The capital of Pulau Tioman, the village of Tekek located along the western shores of the island, is more developed and modern than the rest on Pulau Tioman. You can get to the island via boat from Mersing or Berjaya airlines, which uses an airstrip close to the village. The village is not too far from Berjaya Tioman Resort and has many allures. Tekek Tioman offers a range of snorkelling and diving packages; such activities come highly recommended as the corals are truly beautiful. Look forward to swimming and snoozing on the beach as the weather is warm and water inviting. Shopping too is cheap in Tekek and if you are in a Tioman hotel close by make sure to visit the local eateries for some traditional Malay and Chinese treats.

Marine Park Centre Tioman

A cluster of nine islands makes up Marine Park Centre Tioman. Not only is the place a tropical haven, but boasts glistening bays and beautiful beaches. Explore the verdant coral reefs or trek into the lush jungles. The nearest departure point via land to the park is from Mersing, a short 3 to 4 hour ride from KL to Mersing will help you catch the ferry to the marine park. There are many attractions at the park, amongst which diving and snorkelling are popular, as beginners too are encouraged to try the sport. Look forward to a fun volleyball match and picnic on the beach, while small pools are ideal for novice swimmers to learn the skill.

Asah Waterfall

One of the more popular waterfalls on Tioman Island, Asah Waterfall is better known as Mukut Waterfall as it is located close to the village of Mukut. A pleasant change from the beach, the cascade is ideal for a swim and time with nature. Depending on your fitness level, consider a trek to the summit of the falls and be rewarded with stunning views across the land.
