Why Abu Dhabi Deserves to be Your Next Holiday Destination - Awesome Reasons to Visit the Dessert Paradise

Sunny skies, jaw dropping landscapes, and a plethora of entertainment options make Abu Dhabi the perfect holiday destination. If that's not enough, here are a few more.

1

You've got sunshine all year round

As soon as you step off the plane, Abu Dhabi's hot air hits you at once. If you're someone who loves hot weather, then you are in heaven. If not, don't worry, all indoor public areas are air conditioned to help you cool off. Cloudless skies mean you never have to worry about rain delaying trips or pack floppy raincoats and waterproof gear. However, during the emirates summer months, between June to July, temperatures can top 40 degrees so do stay indoors during midday to avoid heat exhaustion.

2

It is family friendly

Abu Dhabi has two enormous theme parks dedicated to providing fun for the whole family. Teens looking for something thrilling will love the roller-coaster ride Formula Rossa. Officially the world's fastest rollercoaster, it takes you from 0-62mph in 2 seconds and reaching a terrifying 149mph in just another second! If you would rather splash around in water, situated right next door is Yas Waterworld, a theme park with over 45 rides to try!

3

The clear waters of Corniche Beach

The Corniche is an amazing stretch of pristine beachfront overlooking crystal clear blue waters that would make anyone think they had arrived at a tropical resort. Kept in pristine condition for the public and with a clear view across to Lulu Island, this is a favourite chilled out location both locals and tourists. The beach is separated into three zones - for singles, couples, and children; while this may sound a bit odd, you get used to the divides pretty quickly.

4

The intimidating Moreeb Sand Dune

Anyone who tries to stand near this massive sand dune can't help but feel so small in comparison. Standing tall at a whopping 300 metres with a 50 degree slope, this dune is both fascinating and terrifying thanks to its size. If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent out a dune buggy and then head over to one of the nearby resorts such as Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, to freshen up.

5

Affordable luxury wherever you go

The city is synonymous with luxury with mega designer malls to 5 star hotels, in Abu Dhabi the skies the limit. However, that doesn't mean not everyone can enjoy it, many resorts are still affordably priced and there are plenty of entertainment options that you can enjoy whatever your budget.

View endangered wildlife at Sir Bani Yas Island

There are over 13,000 animals living in reserve on Sir Bani Yas Island, located just off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Many of the animals are native to the middle east and are raised in a conservation environment before being released back into the wild. Visitors can enjoy safaris around the reserve along with several other activities on the island.
