Top 10 Shopping Malls in Bangkok – The Shopaholic Central

Bangkok and shopping go hand in hand. The diversity is endless and it suits to any budget and lifestyles. Here are 10 Shopping malls to go crazy over.

1

Central World Siam

It only seems fitting to put the largest mall in Thailand first on the list. It has more than 500 stores, 100 restaurants and 15 cinemas! Apart from this they also have a Kids' Zone, also a learning centre so you can leave your children there and shop around! It is interesting to note that.

2

Asiatique The Riverfront

It is not just a mall but also a night bazaar. It is an open-air mall and faces the Chao Phraya River, thus making shopping here an unforgettable experience. It is close to the Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel. When it comes to accommodation, you'll be spoilt for choice as there are many a Sathorn hotel in Bangkok.

3

EmQuartier

This is home to more than 400 worldwide labels and caters to the exclusive and international brands. However, the higher levels of the mall, have high end local designers and some high street brands.

4

Central Embassy Shopping Mall

It's the first and only ultra-luxury lifestyle mall in Bangkok and is one of the leading shopping destinations in the world. It consists of cinemas, six-star hotel, fine-dining restaurants and international designer apparels.

5

Siam Discovery

With it's sophisticated concept, it certainly provides for a different experience as the items are displayed so naturally in a domestically pleasing way. This makes the shopper visualise exactly how they would store the items or wear them and is a genius marketing idea!

6

Terminal 21 Bangkok

As the name would imply, this mall has a travel theme and the architecture resembles a 21st century airport (hence the name). Expect electronic displays and help desk receptionists that are dressed in the air hostess's uniform; this is all just a gist of what you would expect in Terminal 21. The shops all live up to its theme and walking around them feels like you are hopping from one country to another. You would feel like you've travelled the world and shopped around.

7

Pantip Plaza, Pratunam

Heaven for all the tech and IT geeks because this is a whole mall only dedicated to computers, tech gadgets and more. You will be spoilt for choice and maybe even get confused so if you are not an expert, take on along with you!

8

Siam Paragon, Siam

Another mall catering to high end fashion and gadgets for your exotic sports cars and everything in between. A few of its highlights are the 16-screen Paragon Cineplex and Siam Ocean World aquarium.

9

MBK, Siam

This is equivalent to the Chatuchak market, but indoors. And just like the Chatuchak street market, items here are very affordable and therefore, quite popular amongst the tourists for luggage, streetwear and mobile phones.

10

Siam Centre

It was relaunched in 2013 and along with it, brought along more than 200 international and local brands and boutiques of upcoming designers. The mall tries to blend the nature and technology together; an interesting merge. They also have digital fit on, you could choose an outfit and see how exactly it would look on you without having to go through the hassle of physically fitting it on!
