College Search Websites

Here is a list of the most commonly used search engines and review websites for US colleges and universities. You might try taking the name of the same college and entering it into a sampling of these websites in order to get an understanding of the types of information each provides. A few include videos, some have student reviews. Most have a link to the college's own website. Feel free to add your favorites if they aren't here, and to vote for the ones you find most useful.

College Results Online

The Education Trust's website gathers federal data about student outcomes such as 4, 5, and 6 year graduation rates. Once you name a college, you can ask for a list of "similar" colleges and compare data across the list, or you can create a list of colleges you are considering and compare data for that list.
