Mass is held three times at different time slots daily. Although the bulidng mainly functions as a Chapel, there are other aspects of attractions to it, too. One of them is the touch of local designers, where an entire wing showcases their work. People often visit the Greenbelt Chapel for prayers, for a spiritual break, or to find some peace and quiet among the lush greenery, in a city that is constantly on the run.
If you are looking for rest and relaxation, there are many small hotels and even serviced apartments in Makati; in fact, some of these places like Ascott Makati will offer luxurious relaxation and respite from the hectic hustle and bustle outside. If you are looking for entertainment especially in the night, P Burgos Street is the place to be. The street is lined up with various night clubs, karaoke bars, pubs, dance-bars, restaurants to road side eateries. There is no entrance fee to the street and it is open throughout the day. If you are not too keen on coming out here during the late hours of the night, why not pay a visit during the evening to take a look before its starts getting packed.
Standing amidst the city in all its ancient glory, the Guadalupe Church is an architectural masterpiece. Constructed in the Baroque style, this Roman Catholic church remains a favourite wedding location in the city even to date. The buttresses that support this historical building are massive and adds a sense of height to the overall structure. The windows smoothen the rough edges of it, while niches and statues add a tasteful overall touch. The best day to visit the Church if you are interested in attending mass would be on Sundays, as a mass is held every hour. If you are merely interested in taking a look around the building and the premises, then it's best to avoid Sundays and visit during weekdays preferably mid-morning or late afternoons.
Nothing speaks history like the remnants of old buildings and structures. The Guadalupe ruins are considered to be an important component that makes up Makati's rich cultural heritage. Considered to be a national cultural asset and an important landmark, all tourists should consider visiting the ruins. The excavations of the area started at the beginning of the 1970s. Today most of the underlying ruins have been painstakingly uncovered. Each stone and fallen wall will tell a different story. The lives of the Chacoan residents are illustrated through what is left of the settlements now, a piece of tangible history for the curious to seek.
