No serious shopaholic can forgo a stop at one of Malaysia's iconic shopping destinations; Bukit Bintang is popular across the globe as KL's best shopping destination. Also known as Star Hill or Bintang Walk, here are the strip's favourite shopping plazas, markets and malls.

Pavilion KL

If you are looking to indulge in haute couture shopping then this plaza is the ideal place. Standing out amongst the other retail giants of Jalan Bukit Bintang, this white marble complex is favoured by the fashion conscious locals of KL. The place is divided into six zones spread across seven floors, making up a total of 450 stores located both inside and outside the complex. Shop for some of the best European brands here; as well as, high street fashions at low cost, around the Fashion Avenue sector of the plaza. Guests at The Westin Kuala Lumpur can walk to the Pavilion KL which is only a few minutes away and it is no surprise that this is a popular locale to secure a hotel in Bukit Bintang.

Berjaya Times Square

One of the most iconic attractions in Bukit Bintang, the Berjaya Times Square is a twin tower complex made up of 48 floors. Spread along the Jalan Imbi Boulevard, this place is tipped to be the world's 5th largest structure. The place is home to a number of retail boutiques, boasting affordable prices across a range of items, while Asia's largest theme park, together with a nine screen cinema and other venues make this a fine entertainment spot as well.

Isetan Kuala Lumpur

Shop for upscale Japanese brands and even a range of household goods at Isetan. Not only is the shopping mall located in Bukit Bintang, the place is located right in front of the monorail station for convenience. The place is walking distance to Pavilion KL and easy to reach from your Bukit Bintang hotel. Make sure to stop over at the supermarket on the ground floor, where you can shop for a range of international products such as packed bento boxes, sashimi, alcohol and snacks.

Kenanga Wholesale City

This is KL's loved wholesale mall covering a total of 500,000sqft. The place is home to over 800 stores, selling a range of goods from shoes and clothing to gift items and household products. Merchandise moves pretty fast at this mall, hence, shoppers are constantly treated to new products on a regular basis. The mall is also popular for its periodical fashion and cultural shows, held in an endeavour to attract more customers.

Sephora KL

This branch of the well-known French cosmetic retailer is the first in South-east Asia. There are a total of 250 cosmetic brands to choose from, although it's only half the volume of the original stores in the US. Merchandise is spread across 10,000sqft, and one can shop for top brands such as Urban Decay, Earth Organics, Amazing Cosmetics, Korres, Ole Henriksen and more. Located along Jalan Bukit Bintang the mall is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
