Things to Do and See in Nha Trang – The Best Seaside Fun

Nha Trang will take you on a journey of sun, sand & surf like never before. Swim, dive and snorkel to your heart's content, while exploring charming villages, spending lazy days on heavenly beaches and tucking into some gourmet delights that you are going to remember long after the holiday is over.

1

Enjoy the Beaches

Nha Trang is most famous for its beaches, and they certainly do not disappoint. The city located right by the shoreline makes it possible to enjoy a fabulous beach holiday like never before. Plenty of hotels in Nha Trang Beach offer you accommodation with sea views and a chance to walk up to the beach. Many properties located on Nha Trang Beach, like Citadines Bayfront Nha Trang, are close to area attractions, making it also possible to spend a day away from the beach exploring local allures.

2

Plan a Day Trip to Explore Doc Let Beach

Spending a day on this haven of a beach is well worth the 50km long journey. Doc Let is a beach made up of powdery white sands, palm trees swaying in the background and glistening waters you will want to swim in all day. The place has a sleepy laidback ambience and is free from the touristy throngs of others. Not many travellers know about Doc Let, and if you keep the secret, the place will remain wild and beautiful for many more years to come. Hire a car, and enjoy the drive from your Nha Trang hotel.

3

Plan on Plenty of Diving and Snorkelling

The Hon Mun Marine protected area of Nha Trang Bay is made up of 12,000 hectares of reef, some of the most verdant waters in Vietnam. The most popular site in Vietnam for diving and snorkelling, the waters here are shallow too; hence, beginners have a safe haven to learn the art of diving or snorkelling. April to October is high season for diving with July to August, tipped to be the best periods.

4

Plan Another Day Trip to Bai Dai Beach

Also called Long Beach, Bai Dai, pronounced as bye yai is situated 20kms from Nha Trang. The place is home to white sands and clear waters, and exudes a backpacker vibe, with some cheap seafood kiosks lining the beach; hence, some people either love or hate this rather tourist-oriented beach.

5

Drink in the Beauty of Ba Ho Waterfalls

When you feel a change from golden days on the beach are needed, head inland and check out the pretty Ba Ho Waterfalls. You must 'endure' or rather relish, a very scenic drive 27kms along the northern coast. From the main road, you need to hike for 25 minutes until you reach the first 3 of the waterfalls where you can enjoy a swim in the pools. The perfect elixir after the hot and sweaty trek to the cascades.

6

Enjoy Motor-biking or Cycling to Local Attractions

You can easily rent a bicycle or a motorbike from the vicinity of your beach hotel in Nha Trang. On these vehicles, you can check out the local markets and cover other iconic attractions like Ponagar Cham Towers, Long Son Pagoda and even do a day's trip to the famous Mud Baths.
