Digging Out of Distraction

Christine Glover gives good advice on how to dig out of distraction by nurturing yourself first

Excited to be @SouthernMagicRW to hear how to dig out of distraction by @cjglover63

"You deserve this. You deserve your success." - Christine Glover @cjglover63 Everyone's journey is different and everyone's definition of success is different. You define it.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, give yourself permission to take a step back. Unless you're on a deadline - give yourself a break. @SouthernMagicRW

Ask yourself, are you writing to make a buck or writing because you love it

Give yourself permission to take care of yourself first.

How can you write a happy ever after if you're burned out and unhappy?

Every month, write down 20 things you've done that has helped you fulfill your dream as a writer - for example, entered a contest, got a rejection, wrote 100 words on Monday, got out of bed. Every small thing helps you on your way to success and writing them down reminds you.

Take care of yourself, take care of your family, then take care of your writing. You do writing because you love it. But you also need to love yourself and your family.

Be kind. You don't know what other people are going through. That said, toxic people can affect your kindness. You can't fix them. But you don't have to be around them.
