The place is also, home to the mass grave, holding 69 Chinese soldiers who were killed during the time the Japanese occupied Singapore. A memorial service is held on every Sunday, just before the 11th of November in remembrance of the fallen heroes.

Located nine metres under Fort Canning Hill, this site is tipped to be the place General Percival reached the rather bleak decision of handing over the country to the Japanese in 1942. Today the 26 rooms of the Battle Box, serve as a museum where wax figures, depict the various stages of battle. Moving figures and the use of animatronics offer a very interesting experience.
