Communication Lesson Plan

Lesson Objective: Students will be able to identify and implement effective communication skills involving speaking, listening and nonverbal behavior. Understanding the use of skills will be critical to successful application. Students will work collaboratively to create effective and ineffective communication scenarios, and demonstrate those to the class.
Also students will experience working in groups and communicating effectively with one another.

Detailed lesson plan provided.

Students group up and look at a variety of different images. Students brainstorm together and decide what is considered "global" about the pictures. Lesson plans include hints and discussion points to keep the class moving. This lesson is an excellent way to discuss a variety of cultures around the globe.

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Lesson Plan: The Quandary Game

In this problem solving lesson plan students use a free online game called Quandary to practice ethics, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

A fun group activity is completed in the lesson that requires the use of team work. Then students will discuss important qualities of someone who works well in a team and how they can be better at teamwork.
