Liners protect the pool's wall. They keep the pool in it's proper shape by holding the walls in their position and hence preventing them from collapsing. A good liner also keeps the pool clean by preventing algae growth and providing UV protection. This is why liners take the top spot in my list!
Hygiene is very important especially with the increasing medical costs. Although boring, but cleaning your pool is an important task to keep it clean & hygienic for use. Vacuums assist in removing the algae and other dirt particles like dried leaves, pollen etc. that may haven fallen into the pool. Health is wealth and hence Vacuums occupy the second spot on the list!
Ladders not only increase the accessibility of the pool, they also increase it's safety. Having a firm and steady ladder reduces the risk of accidents when climbing in or out of your pool. They can especially be useful for the elderly folks who need assistance in entry/exit from the pool. Because of the convenience and safety offered, ladders make it to the top 3 positions in the list!
Heater can be counted as both necessity and/or luxury. However you see it, you cannot ignore it's usefulness. Having a heater for your pool means that you can use your pool even in the winters!
Other accessories include pool covers, pool lights, pool fountains etc. Many of these are cosmetics type accessories which increase the look and feel of the pool.
