Thais particularly love soups. Tom Yum Goong is the Thai soup par excellence: unusual combinations and intense flavours and aromas characterize this Thai dish. This hot soup is rich in aromatic herbs and spices; the main ingredients are shrimp, tomatoes, mushrooms, lemongrass, galangal, lime, chili. Before tasting this dish, it is important to know that it is a soup with a very spicy flavour!

Som Tam – more than a simple salad
Som Tam is a salad and the main ingredients are papaya, peanuts, dried shrimp, tomatoes, garlic, lime juice, palm sugar, chili, which are pounded with a mortar and pestle. This dish combines the four main flavours of traditional Thai cuisine: salty, sour, chili and sweet. Its taste is very strong and it is suggested to enjoy with sticky rice.
