Not all restaurants like having children at a meal; this does not mean that all children are noisy and messy, but some places just do not love the idea. But, a few hotels love having children, here are a few such places.

Minchetta

Located in Nishi-Ku, Sapporo, this restaurant is well known for having the best charcoal grilled black beef steaks that are cooked in Japanese style. Also popular are their hamburgers and the way they focus on the specific spices and ingredients they use in their food. The restaurant has a lovely space and vibe that suits people of all ages. The dishes you order are usually served on a hot iron plate. The best part about this child-friendly eatery is that they have a kids' menu that has its own mini steak and hamburger. The place also has colouring books to keep the children occupied while they sit on their child-sized chair and wait for the food.

Kururu-no-Mori

Located about an hour or more away from a luxury Otaru hotel the likes of Grand Park Otaru, this is basically inside a farm at which the guests can enjoy a tour and a meal. Once you experience it, you will know that the drive was worth it. The buffet spread at this unique eatery has more than 70 kinds of meals for you to taste. Children at the age of three and under can eat for free here while children who go to elementary school are charged 500 JPY per head. Kururu-no-Mori is pretty famous in the vicinity, therefore calling ahead and reserving for the number of people you are going with is better than standing there in lines. The eatery has children's seats and also provides a nursing room cum diaper changing table.

Rojiura Curry Samurai

In this shop, you must try the special dish that is their own, the soup curry. The price of the soup curry begins at 980JPY and increases deepening on the add-ons or your choice of meat. Apart from this soup, you can try many more dishes when at Rojiura Curry Samurai. For the children in your group or family, there is a miniature version of the curry soup for just 4080 JPY, and not to worry, this soup is not as spicy as the adult version. Babies have raised seats and the place allows strollers to be brought in too. Furthermore, books and toys to entertain kids are also placed on each table.

Emon's Chouchou

This lone bar and cafe can be found in Susukino, Otaru. The visitors' favourite at this eatery is the Chouchou plate lunch and the Yoru cafe plate, and the best part if that both the dishes have different sides each day. Emon's Chouchou also has a variety of pasta, sandwiches, and pancakes on their menu. Housed in two floors, the place is child-friendly and comes with a kid's menu, baby beds, a high chair for the tiny ones, and a diaper changing station or table.
