The Basotho ponies of the region are surefooted and relied on since days of yore, to travel across the mountain passes. You can choose from a wide range of treks which will last an hour or even seven days, the choice depends on how adventurous you feel. Visit a traditional Basotho village and explore the fascinating charms of local art, traditions and hospitality. There you can observe how comforts and daily practices are performed in aesthetic settings; especially reflected in the straw hats and very colourful blankets, the Basotho people wear as protection against the cold.
