5 Reasons why Malaysia is the Ultimate Travel Destination – A Place that has any Vacation Type you Need!

Whether you want to explore new cultures or you want to sunbathe on the beach, Malaysia has it all at a very affordable price. Here are 5 reasons why Malaysia is known as the country that has it all.

1

Rich history and culture

Malaysia is a cultural hub that integrates cultures from all across Asia. While the Indian and Chinese influences are the most visible, influence from the rest of Southeast Asia can also be found wherever you look. The fusion is very visible in Penang as you explore the streets of Penang's capital, George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site which is home to cultural and historical landmarks such as the ornate Chinese clan house Khoo Kongsi, Kapitan Keling Mosque and the colonial Fort Cornwallis.

2

Nature and wildlife

While Malaysia is well known for its diversity in wildlife, it is also one of the best places to see orangutans in their natural habitat; the wild. Borneo, the third largest island in Asia is the best place to see the endangered Bornean orangutan in all its majesty as it swings from tree to tree in the jungles of Sepilok. Mt Kinabalu which is located nearby is a great place to go on a trek for a brilliant view of the jungles, remote villages and paddy fields.

The Tropical Butterfly Farm located in Teluk Bahang, Penang is an alternative for those who prefer their wildlife to be less furry.

3

Lively Metropolis

Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur offers everything that you'd hope to find in a capital city while retaining its' Malaysian roots. Exploring Malaysia's vast variety of shopping malls, enjoying the delicious street food, haggling with merchants at the market bazaars or climbing to the top of the Petronas Towers, the world's tallest twin towers for a breath-taking view of the city are some of the things you can do in Kuala Lumpur; truly one of the greatest cities in the world.

The KL Monorail is a convenient and affordable transportation medium to visit every part of the city without much hassle. Kuala Lumpur also serves a starting point for day trips to city-state Melaka and the ancient Batu Caves.

4

Beautiful beaches

Malaysia is a tropical island that is blessed with warm weather and sunshine most of the time, hence it comes as no surprise that Malaysia has an abundance of beaches.

Redang, located on the east coast of Malaysia which offers untouched beaches and a turtle hatchery is ideal for a private beach getaway away from the masses.

The beaches of Sepang which are located in the southern part of the Selangor state and several of the Sepang hotels and resorts such as AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort are popular amongst tourists because of their close proximity to the Kuala Lumpur Airport.

5

The Food

Malaysia which offers a huge selection of dishes to choose from is one of the best places to visit if you're a foodie. Whether it's stopping at a street corner for a quick bite or dressing up and hitting the town for a fancy meal at some of the best restaurants in the capital; prepare your taste buds for all the flavours that Malaysia has to offer.

The cheap street food you'll find at Kuala Lumpur include dishes such Roti Chanai, Chicken Satay, and Beef Rendang (a curry dish with lemongrass and coconut) and Nasi Lemak (a rice-based dish with coconut).

Penang which is widely known as Malaysia's food capital is famous for its Nasi Kandar (A rice dish with Malaysian curry) or the Laksa Penang (a sour and spicy sour noodle soup).
