Top Movie Cinemas in Manila – Where Entertainment Meets Elegance

Whatever the country you may be in, it helps to have some familiar activity to fall back on in case of an emergency. These are some of the top cinemas that you can check out when in Manila.

Alabang Town Centre Cinemas

Alabang Town Centre Cinemas have been around for a long period of time and has been a constituent part of the living experience of the locals. It is where most of the recent movies are screened, and is located at a convenient distance from major hostels, hotels, and hotel apartments in Alabang. The cinema offers the facility of booking tickets online, which makes it one of the most sought-after theatres in the city. However, the washrooms at the Cinema are rather small and tend to get quite crowded.

Commercentre Cinemas

Commercentre Cinemas are smaller than ATC cinemas, but much like Somerset Alabang Manila, stand to prove that size is no obstacle for comfort and quality. Being one of the newer constructions, the cinema follows the style of those in the West. The washrooms have a larger area, and the overall comfort of the place is worth mentioning. The air-conditioning here is on the freezing end of the spectrum, so if you are someone who is vulnerable to chills, remember to carry a cardigan or a scarf with you.

Bonifacio Highstreet Cinemas

Bonifacio HIghstreet Cinemas is a well-loved 3D/4D theatre. The theatre's extremely comfortable reclining chairs have been the talk of the town, not to mention the great butter popcorn. The cinema is best used to watch action movies that will fully showcase the powers of the moving chairs and the other 4D effects. You can reserve tickets to the cinema through their online portal. If you don't want to do that, though, you can always walk into the cinema booth a few days prior to your preferred day of viewing and make a booking in person. Given the popularity of this cinema, if you wish to book tickets the old fashioned way, remember to head over as early as possible.

Resort World

One thing that everyone raves about Resort World is their seating arrangements. Lazy-Boy chairs are the hallmark of this cinema, which makes for an unforgettable experience. The seats are arranged in pairs, and you have the luxury of feeling like you're watching from your own home. The snack bar at the cinema is quite good, too, with a wide variety of snacks and beverages. The best thing is, they have unlimited popcorn. If the snacks aren't enough for you, the cinema is located within easy distance from some of the best restaurants. So you can always hop over for a bite.

Director's Club Cinema

Another cinema with lazy-boy chairs, this is the ideal place if you don't want to face the crowds. Each cinema seats around 30 people, so it is better to get there early to avoid disappointment. You also receive a bowl of popcorn for free, which always is a welcome addition to any movie experience. The relative privacy and high comfort come at a higher price, though. Tickets to Director's Club Cinema are among the most expensive.
