India is a Democratic country, every person has a right to vote for their favorite leader. Ever person above 18 years has this right to vote, given by the Article 326 in our Constitution. The country’s policy of the government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. The Lok Sabha elections 2019 are to determine the new Prime Minister of the country as well as to elect the different members of the Lok Sabha. The citizens of our country give their votes to the party they wish to see in power and the candidate from that winning party becomes the Prime Minister of the country. The Indian parliament is bicameral, the lower house in Lok Sabha (also known as the House of People). The adult universal suffrage elects the members of Lok Sabha. The elections happen every 5 years after the five-year term is complete. The other house is the Rajya Sabha. India being a nation containing 29 states, the country has elections taking place every year in different states after a state government completes its 5-year term.
Assam (BJP won), Kerala (LDF won), Puducherry (Congress won), Tamil Nadu (AIADMK won) and West Bengal (Trinamool Congress won), these are the states where the assembly elections in 2016 took place.
Uttar Pradesh (BJP won), Uttarakhand (BJP won), Goa (BJP won), Punjab (Congress won), Manipur (Congress won) are the states where the assembly elections took place in 2017.
Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, and Tripura are the states where the assembly elections take place in 2018.
Lok Sabha elections took place back in 2014, NDA government won that election and MR. Narendra Modi became the prime minister of the country.
The next Lok Sabha elections are about to take place in 2019, NDA, UPA and other parties have already started preparing for them.
