Peter McKinnon gave us 8 Hacks that he uses for his camera. He is a professional and has made some beautiful images and videos over the years. Please take the time to visit his Youtube Channel to see them all. Of the 8 very cool hacks that he presents in his video. Here is my favorite one:

Notice how the light hits the front of the lens only just partially. This is a key factor. Also, notice that the camera and light are moving. Experiment with this. A static light or static camera could be the cause of less then optimal outcomes. Keep it moving and keep it looking good :)

Notice how the environment is not super sunny but not dim either. This setting is simple and there are no harsh bright sections to the picture or dark contrasting backgrounds.
