Rationale: I chose this video to accommodate and meet the individuals needs of my young students who may be more of a visual learner instead of an auditory or kinesthetic learner.

Rationale: I chose this video to meet the individual needs of my visual learners that would become more engaged with a video rather than a lecture.
Description: This game teaches young students about many common and uncommon community helpers.
Rationale: I chose this game to meet the individual needs of my kinesthetic learners. I also chose this game as a way to engage my students with an interactive, hands-on activity, rather than to disengage my students with only a class lecture or class discussion.

Rationale: I chose this educational video as a way to assess my students' understanding of the concept or standard being taught.
Description: This video represents multiple community helpers within the 'Bear Country" and the roles and responsibilities that each helper has to make sure that the community is safe and sound.
Rationale: I chose this video as the opening of my lesson, to be able to grab students' attention and get their brain juices ready to go! I also chose this video as a way to encourage my students to begin thinking about what they want to be when they grow up, and how they become a 'community helper' while 'on the job!'

Description: This image is a visual representation of a selected number of community helpers.
Rationale: I chose this image to meet the individual needs of my "visual" learners that may understand the concept or standard better if they are able to "visually" see the concept or standard being taught.
Description: This website has many free resources to use that would be aligned with a ‘community helpers’ unit. One free resource was a sight word emergent reader for community helpers.
Rationale: I chose this website because many of my students will be visual learners and will be more likely to grasp a better understanding of the concept rather than listening to a lecture.
