Faadhippolhu Atoll

Faadhippolhu Atoll is considered a much small atoll, but it does include a well-defined barrier reef to its east. The North East monsoon breaks with utmost violence on this reef. You'll come across many farus and reef patches to the western side of the atoll. Faashippolhu Atoll consists of about 52 islands, where only 5 are currently inhabited. The lagoon here is generally open with an average depth of around 25 to 30 fathoms. There are quite a number of sunken reefs and corals patches dotting the bottom of this sandy lagoon.

Baa Atoll

Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi also known as Baa Atoll is well recognized for its large farus on its western side. The Atoll has a length of 48 km with inner lagoons that are absolutely breathtaking. The atoll features amazing waters which only have a depth of few meters. You'll also notice a few coral heads awash. The eastern fringe of Baa Atoll is a succession of different and general oval reefs with a few islands. The large faru found here are mostly within its interior towards its southern half. The atoll's average depth is around 24 to 27 fathoms. Baa Atoll is one of the most iconic locations in the Maldives. Attractions within the atoll are mainly its waters and gorgeous marine life. Kaashidhu Atoll

Kaashidhu Atoll is located more towards the eastern end of the channel, The atoll used to be made up of two islands named Kaashidhoo and Kaashidhoo Huraa, today only Kaashidhoo exists. The island is surrounded by deep waters where there is heavy surf all the way around. Kaashidhu Atoll features an oval-shaped lagoon that has a narrow but fringing reef on its North-Western Side.

Rasdhu Atoll

Rasdhukuramathi Atoll or better known as Rasdhu Atoll or even Ross Atoll (within the Admiralty Chart), is a small atoll that features a lagoon that is almost round. The atoll is located a few kilometres from the North Eastern point of Ari Atoll. Rasdhu Atoll features one continuous barrier reef from its northern and western sides, with another reef on its eastern side. The lagoon is 7km wide and is around 15 to 20 fathoms deep, with many detached coral patches.
