Phuket Raceweek is the very first regatta on the Asian Yachting Grand Prix Championship calendar which is an annual event. It is considered to be one of the best regattas in all of Asia. The event is held at the Cape Panwa hotel and generally attracts a massive audience, you'll find over 40 yachts competing for honours in a myriad of different classes that include sports boats, IRC racing, bareboat, charter yachts, multihulls and cruising. This regatta is incredibly competitive and often includes south-west monsoon weather conditions as well as wind patterns that make it very challenging. Phuket Rendezvous is an event that generally takes place in January of the year and is hosted at the Royal Phuket Marina. This is a four-day Rendezvous and showcases a whole array of high-end luxury products as well as multiple attractions on both land and the sea. Most visitors are dazzled by the many activities and interactive displays that intend to showcase many of life's finer goods such as yachts, classic cars, refined timepieces and supercars. This first even comes with a promise of bringing together yacht brokers, high-end property developers, a host of influencers and luxury travel experts which include helicopter and private jet operators. In addition to the mentioned attractions, the event brings in auction investment specialists and art specialists.
Taking place for its third year now, the Thailand Yacht Show brings superyacht charters with an incredible lifestyle exhibition that includes both supercar displays and yachting. It also features luxury water toys for those who love the fun side of being out in the ocean. The event also includes a fashion show and was created by the organizers of the Singapore Yacht Show. This is one of the must-visit events in all of Thailand's yachting events. You'll also find 'sea trial' excursions, watersports demonstrations, tryouts and sunset cruises. The King's Cup Regatta is often considered to be Asia's most prestigious international yacht racing event. The regatta features the largest contingent of multi-hulls, traditional crafts and keelboats. Hosted in the azure waters off Phuket, it has seen over 30 successful events. The King's Cup Regatta brings in some of the world's best along with their most expensive racing yachts, all which drop their anchor in front of Kata Beach. A majority of the races are, however, held off the west coast of Phuket, where the local and visiting sailors vie for its coveted trophy. These are races are very competitive are always hard fought affairs. The atmosphere, however, is very relaxed off the course and showcases great camaraderie amongst all the participants.
