This resort has the highest ski and snowboard mountain in the eastern U.S. and features 15 slopes across 95 acres. All skill levels are welcome, and the conjoined Alpine Village has ice skating, a bar, and a brewery.
This Great Smoky Mountains ski resort has 18 slopes and five lifts across 50 acres. The grounds include a tubing park and smaller slopes for novice skiers and snowboarders. However, those who are experienced on the slopes will enjoy taking on Upper Omigosh, the mountain’s expert run.
This is the closest ski resort to downtown Asheville and features 15 runs, four lifts, and a terrain park. The mountain often runs great specials but the temperatures aren’t always as cold at this location as some of the other resorts so skiing and snowboarding conditions may vary.
