Usually, it feels a bit weird when you try something new. What if the last time you tried this was more than a decade ago? Sarah Sapora has always been nervous about wearing an ordinary two-piece plus size swimwear.
Usually, it feels a bit weird when you try something new. What if the last time you tried this was more than a decade ago? Sarah Sapora has always been nervous about wearing an ordinary two-piece plus size swimwear.
Through her plus-size wellness blog, Sarah admits that the last time she wore a low-rise bathing suit was when she was 13 years old. This happened at fat camp.
However, Sarah (now 38), says that she has actually found confidence in her body; which is a perfect way to celebrate it. She can now pose for photos in a plus size bikini.
Sapora goes on to say that she wants to share her confidence to the world because she has already reached a point where she has great love for her figure.
The plus-size wellness blogger was seen rocking her plus size swimwear on Malibu beach. She was accompanied by a model friend, Keith Webb.
On her Instagram page, Sarah shares her sentiments through a plus size bikini photo she posted. She comments that she is more joyful, more comfortable and more balanced like never before, at size 22. This photo acted as a stepping stone to her wellness journey.
For the past one year, she has grown stronger, more excited, and more mobile. She now regularly meditates about her life in a positive way. She has totally changed her view of her body and life.
Also, the photo shoot helped her celebrate a year of being committed to her happiness and a healthy lifestyle.
Although she has lost about 74 pounds, Sapora says it’s not her intention to lose weight and that she’s not after chasing numbers. She only wants a happier and more balanced version of herself. Hence, the whole process isn’t based on losing weight.
She exercises and eats healthy. These two habits act as a form of self-respect rather than self-punishment. Besides, she feels physically fit and better when she treats her body with utmost respect by eating a diet that is balanced on a regular basis.
After posting her plus size swimwear photos, her Instagram fans poured out praises and lots of love for her. A woman wrote, “You are an inspiration.” She went on to narrate how Sapora had made her day and how she’s still on her journey of finding self-love and confidence.

Sarah says such reactions are the reason why she decided to do the photo shoot, explaining that women are okay just the way they are and that it’s the only thing they need to keep in mind.
Sadly, sometimes she receives hurting comments and remarks about her beautiful photos. Nonetheless, she doesn’t regret sharing her photos because on the internet everybody is allowed to comment what they like.
These nasty and negative reactions come mainly from people who don’t believe that we all deserve to feel good, irrespective of our individual bodies. Sapora shares her life journey openly without being concerned about these reactions. This is because she knows that it’s more crucial to address a 35-year-old woman, who has lost a sense of self-worth and confidence, than just keeping away from criticism from other people.
She understands that self-confidence and love doesn’t come overnight. It takes time!
Sapora emphasizes that there is pressure for most people to love their bodies, due to the 'body positivity’ movement that is regularly being discussed.
She encourages people to begin with simple self-acceptance. After finding self-acceptance, you can easily find freedom from any self-doubt. This is freedom from the voice at the back of your head that continuously makes you feel you aren’t worthy or enough.
Sapora shares some knowledge for women who are striving to break free from both internal and external voices that tell them they aren’t worthy. The only way you can experience or feel something unique about yourself is through deciding to do things differently. You have to decide how you want to feel about yourself. You can’t feel any better if you allow other people to dictate and control your feelings about your body.
Sapora says that she knows she's more than enough and insists that nobody can take that away from her.
