Before we jump into my list of coolest motorcycle helmets - this is the list of cool motorcycle helmets that AGV picked themself... love it.
The world’s first Sport Modular helmet: the performance of a full face helmet together with the comfort of a modular. Entirely built in Carbon Fiber (shell and chin), this specific structure achieves the same protection performance of MotoGP’s Pista GP R in an incredibly light weight construction, combing the highest levels of comfort and safety.
Like the standard AX-8 Dual Evo adventure helmet, the carbon version has a sun peak and a face shield, but it also gets an outer layer of 3K carbon that keeps weight low and gives it a raw, technical look. The eye port is wide for optimum vision, and the no-fog, no-scratch shield has a ratcheted latch to simplify fine tuning of the opening.
AGV’s latest version of this premium sport helmet now features a new construction for the inner liner, designed with high-performance fabrics and with no stitching in sensitive areas, making for an extremelu comfortable fit. The lightweight shell is made from a carbon-fiberglass mix, while stability and aerodynamic are maximised thanks to and incorporated spoiler. The Integrated Ventilation System (IVS) has vents that are hollowed into the shell, and there’s also an internal drop-down sun visor, a removable nose guard and a new wind protector that keeps noise to a minimum.
Historic shapes and colors meet modern design. The Legends helmets immortalize riders and achievements that will never be forgotten. Comfort, protection and ventilation are key elements of these helmets that meet today’s highest standards. The X3000 carries Agostini’s signature and includes the contoured chin piece just as he liked it so that he could lean right up against the gas tank. It also features a dual button visor that can be opened with the left hand alone.
AGV invented the fibre jet helmet back in 1954. Over time it has evolved and been superseded by the safer full-face helmet, though only in the racing world. But it never went out of fashion. X70 re-embodies the eternal allure of the original’s shape, with modern protection and comfort features.
The K-3 SV is an affordable, adaptable helmet with a surprising array of features, including an internal drop down sun visor, impressive aerodynamic performance, efficient ventilation and an expansive field of vision. The shell is of thermoplastic construction, and the inner liner is of Dry-Comfort fabric.
