The Book Chook: Children’s iPad App, Plum’s Creaturizer

What is the iPad app, Plum's Creaturizer, all about? "This is a very simple app, free, easy to navigate and a way to get kids to interact with the world of nature and a digital creation. Basically it shows children how to create a fantastical creature of their own by mix and matching offered body parts like legs, wings and abdomens. Then it invites them to go outside to take photos of their creature by finding places where it might build a nest, look for water and other “missions.” " Read more at The Book Chook.

The Book Chook: Children’s iPad App, Puzzle Pop HD by Duck Duck Moose

What is the iPad app, Puzzle Pop HD by Duck Duck Moose, all about? "I love apps that encourage kids to think and solve problems. Puzzle Pop HD has spatial puzzles that start out easy - a picture is split into two pieces and kids need to slide a piece into its correct place. Difficulty increases slowly up to Level 27."

The Book Chook: Children’s iPad App, Play School Art Maker

What is the children's iPad app, Play School Art Maker, all about? "This app is free, and navigation is simple. Kids will recognize their favourites from the TV, and there are art and craft items that can be manipulated as well. I liked that children can add Humpty, Jemima or one of the Teds to their own scenes/photos, the way I did in my image above." Read more at The Book Chook.
