5 Adventures in Singapore you Must Try – The Fun Never Stops

If you thought Singapore was all sightseeing and cuisine, think again. The little nation will surprise you with its variety of experiences and adventures that entice and beguile the modern traveller.

1

Walk Amongst the Tree-Tops at MacRitchie Park

MacRitchie Park is well known for its stunning environs and verdant surroundings; although most Singaporean's don't know about the tree-top walk, it is one of the most thrilling encounters to boast of during your holiday. The tree-top walk is made up of a free standing suspension bridge, which runs between the two highest points of the reservoir park. Along this walk, one can enjoy gorgeous vistas of the forest canopy, as well as, sightings of the exotic wildlife dwelling there. The walk to the suspension bridge is about 2.5kms from the car park, hence, it is not an activity recommended for just about everyone; however, if you are up for the adventure and are a nature lover, don't miss out on this fabulous escapade.

2

Enjoy a Bout of Stand-Up Paddling

"Supping" is all the rage and the calm still waters of the Singapore Sea are highly conducive to the sport; better known as SUP. Supping is the act of balancing upright, on a board similar to a surfboard, and paddling your way around the ocean. The views are marvellous and you can even see the little marine life below the waves with ease. Check out the agencies that rent out Stand Up Paddling boards and you can sup your way over to the Merlion Park. Enjoy the warm sunshine and joys of this marvellous outdoor activity. SUP, by the way, is open to just about anyone, big or small interested in mastering the art of supping.

Visit Universal Studios Singapore

A must visit for young and old alike, Universal Studios Singapore offers an action-packed day of family fun. Be it meeting some of the Minions or getting up close to the cast of Madagascar, kids can get up close to their favourite characters. Of course, those looking for an adrenaline rush can always get in line for the duelling roller coaster ride based on Battlestar Galactica. For more thrills, there is the Revenge of the Mummy indoor roller coaster and the always fun 3D ride based on the Transformers. Located on Sentosa Island, this popular theme park can be easily reached if you are staying at a hotel near MRT in Singapore. There are many such options to consider with properties such as Park Hotel Farrer Park beings amongst the well known names.

4

Catch a Stand-Up Comedy Act

Singapore has a pretty awesome stand-up community, which promises to have you in stitches. Head over to Home Club on a Tuesday night and for a mere $ 10 entrance fee (at the time of writing this article) you can gain entrance and lay claim to one free drink. Tipped to be one of the city's best clubs, you can check out the clubs Facebook page for more details.

5

Relax at Quayside Isle

This is Singapore's chic neighbourhood catering to the ultra-rich; of course a place that even a traveller on a strict budget should visit for the ambience, Quayside Isle is home to classy restaurants, a hip jogging track (you need to visit to understand why it's 'hip'), and a pretty impressive harbour. Do visit the place at least for those social media update photos and you won't regret it.
