The Best Rooftop Bars in Sydney – Welcome Laidback Drinking Sessions with an Amazing Atmosphere

Sometimes, there is no better way to relax and rewind than enjoy a cool drink and great company. Sydney has a number of rooftop bars that offer everything you desire along with crazy panoramic views.

1

Coogee Pavilion

Set on Dolphin Street, this bar provides you with wonderful views of the Coogee Ocean – a two hundred and seventy angle view to be exact. There are double folding walls which mean you can appreciate the sea breeze no matter where you are at the bar. Open only for adults, there are plenty of love seats, stools and benches but unless you drop by early, you are likely to miss out on a table or chair. The Coogee Pavilion has a total of three bars, all of which have great and quick service. They provide snacks too but tend to keep it simple with no frills. With plenty of quick savouries like pork necks and lamb chops, the Coogee Pavilion has all the right snacks to keep you company. Drop by during the evenings as the beach gets even more beautiful than you thought possible.

The Light Brigade

Sydney's skyline is one of those things you never get fed up of staring at. If you feel the same and wish for an excellent location to admire the skyline, drop in to The Light Brigade. The open aired pub has a rich history in the city and was recently overhauled giving it a new look but still keeping the best bits that made it so famous. Located on the grand Oxford Street, it offers you views right up to the Coathanger, all in the comfort of lounge chairs and cocktails. A wood fired oven serves pizza with a truly authentic touch – you can find up to six varieties including vegetarian varieties. If pizzas are not your thing, maybe the oysters and octopuses will kindle your interest. There is an even longer menu of pies. Downstairs you can find indoor areas that screen popular matches on the big screen.

The Local Taphouse

Well known for their craft beer and a simple menu that contains something to please everyone, The Local Taphouse has been a major crowd pleaser throughout the years and more importantly, throughout the rise of many other similar bars. With timber floors and a tasteful interior décor, the ground floor has about twenty taps and many types of beer you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. While newcomers might feel intimidated, The Local Taphouse caters to both beginners and seasoned visitors too, so you have nothing to worry about. Located close to apartments and hotels near Darling Harbour with establishments like Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments, The Local Taphouse is an exhilarating and truly unique experience. As mentioned above, the menu has always been great but after the addition of Chef Brett Stafford, it has risen to new heights. The Local Taphouse is an excellent destination to go with a couple of friends for a night consisting of great food and even better drinks!
