What You’ll Need to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

No one knows exactly how it’s all going to end. But a growing theory—mostly thanks to pop culture—is that the world as we know it will turn into a wasteland of zombies that will lead to the end of mankind.

1

Be Prepared

But whether you believe in a zombie apocalypse or not, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared for on, you know, just in case.

With that being said, here’s some gear that you’ll want to make sure you have in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

2

Tactical Kit

First thing’s first: Get yourself a nice tactical bag and fill it as best you can with tactical supplies. You can find tactical weapons for sale online, as well as accessories to help complete your kit. Some useful items to have in your tactical kit are binoculars, paracord, flashlight, multi-tool, first-aid kit, and Kevlar gloves.

3

Water Pump and Bottle

Clean water will most likely be scarce in a zombie apocalypse, so having a water pump and sturdy water bottle can literally be a life saver. Water pumps use carbon filter to purify water that is pumped from natural sources such as rivers, creeks and lakes.

4

Boots

There will also likely be lots of walking involved in the zombie apocalypse. Be sure to have a reliable pair of boots that are not only comfortable but also rugged. Steel-toed boots would be preferred, not only for safety, but also in case you need dropkick some zombies.

5

Upper Body Armor

This can be purchased in a complete set as part of your tactical gear, or you can make this protection yourself using some household items such as hockey or other sports equipment.

6

High-Quality Sleeping Bag

You never know where you’ll be sleeping in a post-apocalyptic world, so having a heavy-duty, down sleeping bag will be like sleeping on the world’s greatest mattress these days. Look for sleeping bags that are used for intense hiking and camping.

7

Fire-Starting Kit

Fire is essential for warmth and cooking. Have a fire-starting kit that includes flint, a striker, cotton, and some matches.
