List of viewpoints in Phuket - Prepare to be breathless!

Phuket is quite a popular island for tourists from all over to visit, spread throughout the island are some excellent viewpoints to bask in the glory of all that the Island has to offer.

1

Khao Rang Hill

Khao Rang Hill is probably the most famous viewpoint to date, situated towards the northwest of the city centre, the hill's summit offers an astounding view over the town and the neighbouring islands. At this viewpoint, you can find a landscaped park, children's playground, a fitness park, three restaurants and bars and a panoramic terrace that was built in 2014. Since Phuket is quite the hilly place with its highest point reaching around 500 metres, Khao Rang Hill is no different. You'll find access to the area via two roads, one from Yaowarat Road which is by the Vachira Hospital and the other from the east-west connecting Mae Luan Road.

2

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

Samet Nangshe was a viewpoint that propelled in popularity recently. Unheard of a while back, this panoramic viewpoint in Phang Nga is located on a hilltop that is a mere half hour drive from Phuket. The breathtaking views over the limestone islets of Phang Nga Bay are truly sensational. Being relatively far away from civilization with no light pollution, you shouldn't be surprised to catch a glimpse of the Milky Way in its starlit sky. The viewpoint gained immense popularity amongst the locals and expatriates after a Thai professional photographer named Theerasak Saksritawee published images of the area.

Windmill Viewpoint

Windmill Viewpoint can be found between the two beaches of Ya Nui and Nai Harn in Southern Phuket. Not too far from Cape Phromthep, the area has multiple tall windmills all facing out towards the sea that mimic airplane propellers. It truly is quite a picturesque sight to behold. This is a very simple and tranquil viewpoint that offers peace of mind to all its visitors. You'll find a covered sala with a sitting place here and a few beverage and jewellery vendors. The magnificent view covers Ya Nui Beach and Phromthep towards the south, Nai Harn Beach towards the north as well as the Koh Man Island. If you're looking for Phuket luxury villas, Thailand has a huge number to choose from, with Kata Rocks being one such example that's close by to Windmill Viewpoint.

Radar Hill Viewpoint

If you're on the lookout for the highest viewpoint in Phuket, look no further than Radar Hill. Radar Hill Viewpoint towers above Patong looking over the east of the island. The viewpoint is only accessible from the east and its steep roads take you through gorgeous scenic villages and rubber plantations.

Laem Singh Viewpoint

Laem Singh Viewpoint is a famous spot that rests on the coast road between Surin and Kamala Beach. The viewpoint offers a relaxing and serene atmosphere where you can rest while you enjoy great views over the south. Many travel here for its gorgeous sunsets that are a true sight to behold. The open-sided structure here, with its Thai style roof and stone benches were all built relatively recently. The viewpoint is wheelchair accessible as well.
