A list of the whiskys i have tasted on my way to 1000 tastings.
1
Old Pulteney Distillery 14 year Single Cask
This whisky was self-bottled by a friend (how cool is that?). Tastes of sweet melon and tangerine, pear, orange and coconut. Generally a lovely whisky.
2
Langavulin 16year single malt
Single Islay malt whisky. This one was peaty, deep, and smoky. Determined that this would go well with cheese, but not my favourite for sure.
3
Oban 14 year
Oban is a 14 year old west highland single malt. Overall, pretty fruity and a pretty easy-breezy whisky. (If whisky was ever easy breezy, that is.)
4
Talisker Distillers Edition 12 year old single malt
From the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, this whisky is sharp, peaty and hearty. This one got my gold star in the blind tasting.
5
Old Pulteney single malt 19 Year
Self bottled 19 year old single cask. Smoky with vanilla, honey and pear; a pretty complex whisky.
6
Jura Superstition
spicy and smooth whisky with hints of honey and I very much enjoyed it.
