Even as controversial and much anticipated Padmavati awaits a definite release date, let's take a look at some of the other most anticipated Bollywood releases for the year 2018
Pad Man is an upcoming 2018 Indian biographical comedy-drama film written and directed by R. Balki, featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles and cameo appearance by Amitabh Bachchan, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social activist from Tamil Nadu. Amit Trivedi and Komail Shayan scored the music of the film, with the former composing the film score and latter composing the songs.
Akshay Kumar plays Arunachalam Muruganantham, also known as "India's Menstrual Man".
The film will be based on Twinkle Khanna's book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.[3] Padman revolves around the story of Arunachalam who invented low-cost sanitary pads.

Shankar’s 2.0 is an upcoming Indian science fiction film and it is a sequel of Enthiran (Robot) 2010. The movie stars Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar. This movie is believed to be one of the most awaited and expensive Indian films. The film is all set to create havoc at the box office on January 25, 2018.

It was only two weeks ago that Karan Johar introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter to the world of Bollywood with the posters of their upcoming film 'Dhadak' and now the filmmaker has announced the commencement of the film's shoot. 'Dhadak' is a remake of the Marathi film 'Sairat' and is scheduled to release on July 6, 2018. While 'Sairat' was set in rural Maharashtra, 'Dhadak' seems to be based out of north India.

The movie also stars Pooja Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher. The movie has been shot at the exotic and beautiful locations of Delhi, London, United States, Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru and Kashmir. Reportedly, the movie shall show the relationship between a mentor and his protege.
Karan Johar's upcoming co-production Raazi is being director by Meghna Gulzar and stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. It is the story about a Kashmiri girl played by Alia, who marries a Pakistani officer played by Vicky, to spy for the Indian Intelligence.The espionage thriller is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat’, and will be shot in Punjab, Kashmir and Mumbai.
Pari is a supernatural thriller. Anushka plays an abuse victim, and despite not playing a ghost, this will be her spookiest character ever. The film is co-produced by Clean Slate Films and KriArj Entertainment. Directed by debutant Prosit Roy, the film also stars Parambrata Chatterjee.Pari releases on February 9, 2018.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an Indian epic biographical movie based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Actress Kangana Ranaut will play the title role of Rani Laxmibai and actors Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Suresh Oberoi will play supporting roles in the movie. The movie is being directed by National Award Winning Director Krish.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s 23-year old daughter Sara Ali Khan Sara Ali Khan debuts opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in this Abhishek Kapoor Film. This romantic movie, titled Kedarnath is set in a temple town in Uttarakhand.The film is scheduled to release on 21 December 2018

This is a story about a woman who empowers herself by turning her biggest weakness into her biggest strength. The Sidharth Malhotra directed film will release on 23 February.
Zero is an upcoming 2018 Indian comedy film drama written by Himanshu Sharma and directed by Anand L. Rai. It features Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. Rai decided to make Zero because he wanted to celebrate the incompleteness of people saying that there is beauty in imperfections and incompleteness.
Zero is scheduled to be released on 21 December 2018.
