Bali, "the island of the Gods", is a gorgeous sun-kissed land that's blessed with stunning beaches and fabulous resorts that know how to throw a party, especially in enchanting Uluwatu.
Uluwatu Beach is a haven for surfers who come to ride the extraordinary breaks. You can watch this spectacle from the summit of a beautiful seaside cliff, which by the way, is an ideal location from which to photograph the seascape. Impossible Beach, home to Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort, boasts some of Uluwatu's most dramatic cliffs and sights of enthusiastic surfers riding the waves at sunset. You can, of course, join the action, even if you are not a professional surfer, try one of the surf schools close by for quick lessons and a chance to enjoy the magnificent breaks of Uluwatu.
If you love music and dancing, do head over to the Single Finn Club on a Sunday night. The regular once a week jam session is very popular drawing large crowds to the hip club. Best of all entrance is free and the music top notch.
Even if you are staying at a fabulous Bali boutique resort, don't miss out on a chance to enjoy a meal at the Cashew Tree. Probably the best restaurant in Uluwatu, Cashew Tree dishes out some of the tastiest food in the region while their smoothies are pretty legendary.
Padang Padang is one of the most beautiful beaches on the resort; perfect for spending a lazy day at the beach, this place is also popular for its Saturday night parties. So, go ahead and get into your best beach wear, and head over to the beach at sunset, for some action-packed entertainment.
Jimbaran Bay may not technically belong to Uluwatu but the place is close enough and too amazing to ignore. Take along the love of your life for some very romantic candlelit dinners and succulent seafood coupled with cold bintangs.
Renting a moto will prove to be very handy when exploring Uluwatu. The easiest way to hop from beach to beach, a moto is cheap, fast and convenient. If you do rent a moto, add the following beaches to your list; Bingin Beach, Padang Padang Beach, Uluwatu Beach and Dreamland Beach.
It is almost a tradition to head over to a Mini Mart for a pre-party drink. If you make it when a 'Marty Party' is in full swing, so much the better; the crowd is almost always an international mix of travellers that are mostly, young backpackers.
Through all your partying and playing, make sure to make time to watch a magical sunset on Uluwatu Beach. You can catch this phenomenon from the beach or head over to Pura Uluwatu Temple, perched high on a Seacliff and promising views of Bali's most stunning sunsets.
