Enjoy the Waterfall

Namaung Waterfall is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful in Thailand. It is the largest on the island and certainly one of the most impressive. Inlaid with giant rock formations and cocooned within a verdant green environment, the trek to the falls will all seem worth it, once you experience this marvel of nature. The cascade is made up of two falls, one falls from a height of 20 metres and offers a refreshing pool at its base for swimming; mind you take along the swimsuits as the cool calm water is perfect for rubbing out the aches and pains of your trek. Climbing higher you will come to the second fall, dropping 80 metres from the rocky ledge. There on offer is a great lookout point for photographers.

Monkeys and Their Antics

Elephants are not the only creatures to experience within this park. You will find the 'Coconut Monkeys' of Koh Samui to be quite fascinating. Monkeys have been used over time in this region to climb the tall palms and retrieve the ripe nuts, hence, in Koh Samui, it is now a huge attraction to watch the lithe animals shimmy up the narrow barks and retrieve the ripe coconuts.
