A nice to the point textbook by Amal Mattu and Goyal that is outlined systems based and basically goes through the common errors people make and some advice to avoid them. Nice introduction book to the newer learner who is worried about all of the many potential ways we can accidentally harm patients if we are not careful.
Great book for the approach to the lower acuity patients. It outlines step by step the process you should be taking, things to rule out and how, and treatment recommended. I have found however that some of the treatments are out of date, so best to use the book for the approach which is generally excellent, and cross check UpToDate for best treatment.
