5 Upcoming Amusement Parks in Malaysia - Time to Prepare for Adventure!

Tourism has boomed in Malaysia and theme parks even more abundant, let's look at some of the exciting upcoming amusement parks that will be opening very soon.

Splash Park

Port Dickson in Malaysia has some gorgeous beaches that prove to be very appealing, however, there will soon enough be a wet theme park called Splash Park to amplify this amazing place. Splash Park is set to be the largest water theme park in all of Negiri Sembilan. The park is said to host many adventurous rides and facilities like a lazy river, sand pool, water slides, and a gigantic playship that is believed to be the biggest in the whole of Malaysia. The park will also feature a forest of jumping jets and beach pools as well. For relaxation, the park will have restaurant facilities and night entertainment unlike any other. The park is also said to host a separate section titled "Extreme Park" that includes activities like go-karting and paintball which would make for a perfect weekend adventure. If you're on the lookout for things to do in Sepang, this theme park will be relatively close by. And Sepang offers many great places to kick back and relax like AVANI Sepang Goldcoast Resort for example.

Langkawi Eco Theme Park

Langkawi Eco Theme Park was the result of an RM700 million investment to create an 'eco-expansion' of the nearby Oriental Village, an outdoor mall with a boutique hotel right at the bottom of Mount Machincang towards the northwestern part of the island. National Geographic has partnered with this theme park to create an absolutely one-of-a-kind attraction called "Flight over Langkawi". This immersive Omnidome 3D flight is said to showcase the astounding beauty of the island and is a part of the parks first phase of development. The Langkawi Eco Theme Park will include various other attractions such as a biodome that hosts a plethora of flora and fauna from Langkawi and a cultural village that includes an amphitheatre. The second phase of the development is said to bring other features such as rope bridges, treetop walks and a wilderness adventure park.

20th Century Fox World

The 20th Century Fox World is one of the most talked about theme parks in recent times and is said to debut relatively soon. Inspired by famous theme parks opened by other global giants in the film industry, this is 20th Century Fox's first attempt at stepping into the theme park world. The park is said to host a total of 25 rides from its widely popular movies like "Rio", "Planet of the Apes", "Titanic", "Life of Pi", "Night at the Museum" and "Ice Age". Other locations for the park include Dubai and South Korea later on.

Ubisoft Theme Park

Ubisoft is a name popular all over the world; they are a video game developer famous for gaming series such as "Assassin's Creed" and "Far Cry". It is no surprise that a gaming giant like Ubisoft wants to step into this industry as its world and fantasy building strengths will definitely pay off here. The theme park is said to be a 10,000 square meter indoor complex that will host shows, rides and various other attractions. The park is said to be opened in 2020 in Kuala Lumpur. Features in the park will be built around key games from Ubisoft's portfolio such as "Prince of Persia", "Assassin's Creed", "Ghost Recon", "Far Cry" and so on.

The TWO Theme Park

Set to be the largest theme park resort in Asia, The TWO theme park will be located right beside the North-South Expressway. The park will consist of a shopping mall and indoor, semi-outdoor and outdoor arenas. Water rides and adventure sports are said to be some of the featured attractions. The project is believed to be constructed over a course of 4 phases around an 8 to 10 year period.
