Nusa Dua Attractions – Get Familiar with the Beach

White sandy beaches, a chic shopping complex and some of the best international hotels make Nusa Dua one of the most sought after seaside resorts in Bali. Here are the best attractions to experience.

1

Experience the Devdan Show

The Devdan show is legendary not only in Nusa Dua, but the entire island. The Devdan – Treasure of the Archipelago show, will be the only performance you can catch at the Nusa Dua Theatre; it's well worth it too, especially if you have had a full day of meetings or seminars at a convention centre in Bali. The 90 minute show is centred around a boy and girl who delve into a treasure chest that yields knowledge about the archipelago and each island. Quite a mesmerizing show the play is full of stunning special effects and very impressive dance choreographies. Ideal for those of you eager to learn more about the diverse cultures and traditions surrounding the islands of Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Papua, the show comes highly recommended.

2

Explore Pandawa Beach

This is a gorgeous hidden beach, better known as Pantai Pandawa amongst the locals. The kilometre long sandy coast is sheltered behind stunning limestone cliffs. Easy to reach from the Bali International Convention Centre which is 29 minutes away, the beach is a mere 8 km from the Nusa Dua centre. Don't forget the cameras, for the scenery is pretty stunning. Enjoy sights of the ocean facing limestone cliffs into which deep arches have been carved to accommodate statues that depict the five Pandawas or 'heroes' of the legendary Mahabharata. Get set to spend the day there, as water sports and lovely sunny restaurants offer all you need for a day at the beach.

3

Check Out the Water Blow – Nusa Dua

Be awed by sights of huge waves crashing against the rough edges of limestone columns that form the southeastern cliffs of the islands Peninsula. There is a lookout point built into the footpath located along the south side of the 'Twin Islands' there, which offer 240 degree views of this phenomenon.

4

Chill on Nusa Dua Beach

This is the resorts main beach, known locally as Pantai Mengiat. With the presence of a reef break, the sea around the shoreline is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Go beyond the reef and enjoy some excellent surfing breaks while it is quite common to see local fishermen heading out to sea from this beach; excellent for views of the traditional Balinese wooden fishing crafts. You can also hop aboard a glass-bottomed boat ride for views of the verdant coral beds and even set off on a fishing trip.

5

Enjoy a Bali Camel Safari

That's right; you can enjoy a Bali camel safari and explore the south Sawangan shoreline of Nusa Dua. There are a number of packages to choose from, which offer a day's tour that includes lunch. The camel tours are pretty relaxing affairs as you are transported, at a leisurely pace, along the sandy banks of Nusa Dua Beach. Relish the Bedouin experience by booking group or duo tours that promise to be loads of fun.
