Reasons to Pick a Suite over a Hotel Room – Time for an Upgrade

If you are looking at booking accommodation for your next holiday, options of choosing a suite over a room are sure to crop up. There are of course many benefits in choosing the former.

1

Decide Depending on the Number in Your Party

Are you off on a family vacation or a sojourn with friends? Then a standard hotel room may seem rather cramped. Rollaway beds can be fitted to accommodate the extra numbers, but in most cases, they make things a bit too snug for comfort. A suite, on the other hand, will have multiple rooms and separate sleeping areas. This leaves enough space for everyone to move around in comfort and not spend the entire holiday in each other's space.

2

How Much Time Will You Spend in the Room

Have a careful think about the amount of time you will be spending in your hotel room. Will you be having a number of guests over, or plan to simply relax, and unwind in the solitude of your room? Remember a conventional hotel room has its living space and sleeping space all in one room. A suite, on the other hand, has a separate living area, which will be ideal for entertaining guests or even simply chilling out and not feeling as though you are trapped in your room. Most are aesthetically pleasing and help one to relax, with many hotels placing emphasis on design and comfort. Blue Water Club Suites would be an example of this; part of a beautiful Wadduwa beach resort designed by iconic architect Geoffrey Bawa, these suites offer all the stylish comfort and modern conveniences for a memorable stay. These are just some of the luxurious suite options one will find along Sri Lanka's coast.

3

Are you Going to be Cooking on Holiday

Many smart travellers of today, choose to cook their own meals, thus saving on dining out. Besides, each exotic destination you visit will have its own share of local ingredients and raw food that you will want to cook up. If this is the case, consider a full upgrade and get a suite with a full kitchen. Even if you are not keen on cooking and still want to bring in food, apart for your hotel's buffet; the standard microwave and mini fridge amenities in your suite will prove to be an asset.

4

A Suite Cost Versus Multiple Rooms

A suite will cost more than a hotel room, but if you are travelling with a large party and require a number of rooms, booking a suite with multiple rooms will turn out to be the most cost effective option. For example, instead of booking four rooms, you could book a suite that can accommodate four guests and save on additional room charges.

5

Know the Difference

When booking a suite you must know the difference between a full suite and a studio. A full suite will have a separate room for the living area and bedrooms; separated by a door. A studio will be a makeshift space, with a separator for room and living space. It is, however, more a room than a suite.
